our friends, the annie’s, asked us if we had any inspiration on their new tour “Interstate Gospel” . . . and the wheels started turnin’ . . .
inspiration came from all directions. most especially, from this tire…..
we’re totally not joking. this tire, is everything.
we wanted to incorporate dirty pinks – pink cactus, pink neon. andddd, retro badass hood ornaments…
we turned up their new album and wrote our own version of this vagabond fairytale in the form of the official tour poster…
in this story our hellbent heroines, like the 3 muses or possibly the 3 sirens (depending on how you play your cards), are barreling down a dark highway headed for impending glory with their guardian angel/hood ornament navigator, lighting the unknown path ahead all whilst pink smoke & rusty, dusty, tarnished glitter billows behind this vintage black Buick where surely riding shotgun is the ghost of Hank himself . . .
and like all good gypsy-esque fairytales . . . in this story, our heroines turn up the country soul on the radio and ride off into the sunset on their own two feet.
boot-clad feet that is.
they aren’t with the band. they are the band.
for the pinterest folks out there…

Awesome. Love their music and LOVE the name of this album.

I have owned a 1948 Oldsmobile for 57 years. I wanted to visit you ladies, since seeing you two on TV. Three years ago, I visited San Antonio, TX. I called and spoke to a lady there, and she said that you both, were away on a 2 week vacation. So I did not get to meet you two. However, I like what you two do, and wanted to wish you continued success. When you two be back on TV? Can I see your OLD episodes on youtube.com? Love ya always, RC Peterson Jr. Remember this:” All men are animals, BUT some make good pets”. Here is another one “Amateurs built the ARK, Professionals built the TITANIC”. Ha,ha. One last thing. Here is a homemade joke by me “RC”. “How come married witches, do not have children? Answer: Because their husbands have “hollow-weenies”. Ha,ha.
