last week, 2 worlds collided. we got a call from a little ole family in west monroe you might have heard of…the roberstons.
call it destiny. call it fate. call it a match made in heaven.
the southern skies opened, the duck called. and we answered.

our mission: to create the most awesome of awesome sweet 16 birthday parties EVER… for sadie robertson
the theme: redneck red carpet (did i mention we specialize in redneck?)
the timeline: 10 days…yes you read that correct…TEN DAYS. TEN days to design, create, buy, fix, load, glitter-fy, and get on the road.
so, we did what we always do. we pulled on our work gloves and hit the ground running.
we loaded junk.
loaded more junk…
bought junk.
{yep, we bought potties}
and put the whole family to work.

{our newest addition to the gypsy family…our cousin robert o. sikes (he’s here working on an intern from the university of arkansas this summer) gettin’ his hands dirty…gypsy style!}

and then, we stayed up half the night packing our bags…
and FINALLY…we hit the road…
{bootlegging junk…louisiana bound}
and then this happened…
{busted flat in baton rouge…well, we weren’t really in baton rouge but kris kristofferson/janis joplin just seemed appropriate….and it’s not really a roadtrip until your trailer has a flat…}
but we had our new intern with us…so we were back on the road again in no time…
like a band of gypsies we went down the highway…
{made a quick stop at the TiMPSON quick STOP owned and operated by archie’s family since 1979!!}

hangin’ with the robertsons (yes, they REALLY are amazing, wonderful, GOOD people!!!), miss kay’s cookin, willie’s corn chowder (O.M.G.), the suprise guests, and a redneck red carpet event like you’ve never seen before!!

Ok, your intern’s name blew my mind. My grandpa was Robert O. Sikes. His mom and dad were from Brownsville, TX. We have lots of Sikes cousins still in Texas! Ya’ll might be some of them!
