it’s around this time of year, just when we puny texans are gettin’ really stinkin’ sick & tired of the entire 2 weeks of cold weather we’ve had, just when we think we can’t take anymore of the arctic blast, just when we think we might just lay down and DIE if the weather gets below 50 one more day….yep, it’s about this time of year, every year, when i start gettin’ downright giddy about WaRRENtoN ANtiQUES WEEK.

we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. it’s a soul vacation…it’s spring time in texas. it’s eating royers food under the big tent and twinkle lights at zapp hall. it’s bluebonnets in the cowpastures. it’s dancin under the stars at JuNK-O-RaMA prom. it’s miles and miles and miles of junk as far as you can see. it’s the mothership – the mecca of fleamarkets. it’s being disconnected from your email, your work, your cell phone. it’s wide open spaces & pure country air …. and, we believe, a little thing called junk therapy.

I think I’m declaring myself a Texan for the 10 days that I will be there. Last Fall was my first trip to Antiques week, and I was hooked, had wanted to go for 4 years and it was soooooo worth it. Loved meeting you gals, and will be back next month for the best time of year!! I’m soooooo excited!!!!!

Hot damn you hit that nail on the head!! If you think you’re sufferin’ I’m up here in this frozen tundra we like to call Ohio right about now. I’m currently trying to pull together inventory for my etsy store and the Antique Extravaganza that hits us all in May. The Extravaganza takes place at the Clark County fairgrounds in Springfield and this year I will be gracing it with my presence. I too have embraced the junk lifestyle, well actually I was born with it but hey who knew?! i know it wasn’t mentioned in this post but i love when you mention YO Ranch! if you go to their site, click “adventure camps”, look at the pic with the little boy in the light blue shirt with the braying horse….that’s my son almost 5 yrs. ago! they still used his pic in promotional stuff…brochures and everything! we live in PA now but i think he may go back for advanced cowboy camp this year…can take the boy outta Texas but can’t take the Texan outta the boy!:)

Hey there!! Just wanted to let ya’ll know that I drove by the soon to be store this weekend and my boyfriend told me to watch where I was driving because I got sooooo excited!
Last summer I had a friend come into town from Arizona. I had this great idea to take her to Junk Gypsys. Well we drove all the way from Bastrop to CS in a truck that didn’t have that great of airconditioning in the middle of July. When we pulled up to your warehouse I realized that I should have called to see if ya’ll had a storefront. LOL. Boyfriend, friend, and I all looked at eachother and I had to admit to them that I didn’t call and therefore did not know that Junk Gypsy did not have a store front. We had fun anyway on that roadtrip and many stories to tell. I will be there at your grand opening in Round Top to see the official store. You all are awsome!!
