QVC, here we come!

September 23, 2022

As some of you know … one of the big projects we worked on during the Great Lockdown of 2020, was an exclusive JG line for QVC. We launched our first ever collection in May 2021 via skype from the JG store. But let me start at the beginning…

February 2020: we flew out to the QVC headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania for meetings to discuss a potential collab … we were blown away at the HQ (seriously, we ain’t in round top anymore) and learned that QVC is one of the top 3 retailers in the country, responsible for helping and supporting so many small businesses and woman-owned businesses such as Joy Mangano, Spanx, IT cosmetics, and so soooo many more! After our journey to Pennsylvania, the world shut down. So what was to be meetings in person (in PA and in Round Top), quickly became a virtual journey filled with challenges that kept us on our toes. We’ve come a long way but still have a lot to learn.

One of our favorite projects was creating a line of women’s empowerment throws and pillows .. all exclusive to QVC!

Y’all have sold out so many items … from angel wings to stacking ottomans. From end of bed benches to cowhide print throws, from lanterns to donkey wall art. It’s been a mish-mash of vintage inspired and quirky items so far!

And this rug … OMG…

And now, FINALLY … guess what? We’ll actually be heading to Pennsylvania for our very first in-studio airing! Every show has been virtual since May 2021 … from standing in my kitchen to propping up in the JG store, we’ve attempted to create little mini “sets” for each airing whilst chatting casually with the QVC “host” via earbuds often unable to see them on any type of monitor. To say it’s been awkward would be an understatement. But, y’all have cheered us on through it all … through amie’s microphones not working (ummm, like every time), through sketchy Round Top reception and even through that 2am airing (Lord help us all….things got weird)!

Coming soon! The cutest little ceramic truck candles! Repurpose them as succulent planters!

Y’all be sure to follow along on our instagram and fb stories! Mom is going so you know it’s going to be a good time! And tune in … call in! Send us all kinds of good vibes!! We’re kinda so excited and hope you love all of the goods! (Psst … we’re obsessed with the cowhide rug ;)) They’re simple and functional and all inspired by all the junk we love … junk from the flea market.

QVC airing: Wednesday 9/28 6amCST/7amEST

Any suggestions on where we should go while up in PA? Tell us all your faves! Restaurants, roadside stops, etc! We’re already packing our SWEATERS!!!!

I am a New Zealand teacher on a Fulbright scholarship to Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I think you shoud come to Indiana (1 hour from Pittsburgh). It is the home of Jimmy Stewart (his voice help s you cross the road safely n the main street when the crossing sign changes!!), and is only a few minutes from Punxsutawney (Ground hog day). The main street looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting – and it is is Homecoming on Saturday. You’ll love it!!!

This is great news! I’ll be sure to watch. I’ve been wanting to come to Texas for some time, now Texas is coming here, love it! I think ya all need to visit Lancaster County and see the Amish (at least that’s what everyone else comes for, haha) And eat good old Pennsylvania Dutch food at Shady Maple Smorgasboard!
