Dearest gentle readers, the prom went rogue.
Junk-O-Rama Prom returned to Round Top for Spring 2026, and this year, the social season took a turn for the dramatic. Inspired by the romance and intrigue of the Regency era, Prom was reimagined with candlelight, florals, dramatic details, dancing, and just enough rebellion to keep things interesting.
The theme was romantic, vintage, Regency-era magic, but in true Junk Gypsy fashion, it quickly became something all its own. Think Marie Antoinette goes Texas. Think ballgowns, lace, fringe, boots, velvet, gloves, cowboy hats, big hair, bigger sleeves, and a whole lot of main character energy.
And y’all? The ton understood the assignment.
From the moment the doors opened, it was feathers, florals, wigs, pearls, birds in hair, sparkle, boots, and ballroom drama in every direction. There were gowns worthy of royalty, cowgirl spins on Regency romance, and enough over-the-top magic to make Lady Whistledown put down her quill and hit the dance floor.
Of course, because this is Junk-O-Rama Prom, things did not stay too proper for long. The pub ponies made their grand entrance, complete with feathered flair and basket saddlebags stocked with water bottles, because hydration is important when one is dancing, twirling, and carrying on like Texas royalty. It was practical. It was ridiculous. It was perfect.
LC Rocks brought the live music, the dance floor stayed full, and Round Top did what Round Top does best: turned a regular spring night into the kind of memory that feels half dream, half glitter-covered fever vision.
Junk-O-Rama Prom has never been about playing it safe. It is about showing up, going all in, and not taking yourself too seriously. It is about dancing in boots and ballgowns, wearing the thing, adding the feathers, saying yes to the wig, and becoming the most fabulous version of yourself for one night only.
Spring 2026 was one for the decades.
Feathers. Lace. Florals. Pub ponies. Dancing. Magic. A little mischief. A whole lot of Round Top wonder.
Will we ever top this night? One can only hold it in our dreams forever.
