Under the Sea was everything we dreamed it would be, and then some. March 29, 2025, was a night for the books, and we’re still catching our breath from all the love, laughter, creativity, nostalgia, and magic that filled JG HQ. If you were there, you know exactly what we mean. If you missed it, be sure & mark your calendars for the next one!
We toldddd y’all it was gonna be an oceanic extravaganza. . . & we meant it.
Guests came ready to make waves (literally and figuratively.) From vintage prom dresses transformed into mermaid-inspired magic to sparkly seashells, and boots made for dancing. On theme or not, it was a sight to see all creativity & magic put into each and every outfit.
And don’t even get us started on the accessories… Mermaid crowns, sparkly sea creatures, and all the boho vibes you can imagine.
What’s a JG prom without killer music? This year, we kicked things off with the all-female powerhouse group The Billie Jeans. If you’ve never seen these gals perform, you’re missing out. The energy was contagious, and they had the whole place moving and grooving.
After that, the Round Top band Black Cat Choir took the stage. . . and let us tell you, these guys know how to throw down. The vibe was electric, and you better believe the dance floor was packed from the first note to the last. Twinkling lights, live music, & a crowd dancing their hearts out under the Texas stars
This isn’t just a party. This is a tradition. For 18+ years, the Junk-O-Rama Prom has been a celebration of creativity, community, and all things Junk Gypsy. We’re about making memories, embracing weirdness, and throwing the kind of event that makes everyone feel like family.
It’s about the people.
It’s about celebrating the creativity & community that make Round Top so special.
We’ll keep throwing these shindigs, where all are welcome to make memories & maybe, a little mess too. Because that’s what Prom is all about. Fun, freedom, & a place where just like Luckenbach, everyone is someone at Junk-O-Rama Prom.
So, thank you. If you came, if you danced, if you laughed, if you snapped a pic. . . THANK YOU for making this night a memory we won’t soon forget. We’ll be back at it in the fall, and we can’t wait to do it all over again.
