buy 1, donate 1 to a healthcare worker

May 18, 2020

Just like all of you, we’ve been desperate to help in some way throughout this pandemic. We’ve watched healthcare workers on the news and on social media and cried as they miss time with their children and selflessly give of their time. We wanted to find some way to cheer them on. Some way to say THANK YOU.

And then a few weeks ago, we posted an instagram of a nurse in California that we sent some goodies to. We asked y’all to tag someone you know (or yourself) in the healthcare industry so that we could send them a free Quarantine Kit (aka box o’ happy). The number of comments was overwhelming and wonderful and heartbreaking all at the same time. We wanted to send ALL of them a box o’ happy. And that’s when it hit us, we could follow in the footsteps of TOMS shoes and launch a buy 1, donate 1 program.

For every JG tee or JG cap you buy online, we will donate one to a healthcare worker. It took us a few weeks to get all the tech-y stuff worked out on the back end of our site, but we’re good to go now! Whenever you add a JG tee or cap to your cart, the “donate 1” icon will automatically add as well!

Our plan is to ship several boxes of goods to healthcare facilities rather than ship to individual healthcare workers (unfortunately we don’t have the means to ship to individuals) … feel free to make suggestions or nominate specific healthcare facilities in the comments below!

Like we said in the video, we know this isn’t saving lives or even changing lives. Our purpose is that at the very least, it will bring a little bit of happy to those that are saving lives because we could truly never, ever thank them enough.

St. Marks Hospital in LaGrange….. I am prn in their operating room as a surgical technologist. Although I can’t work there now as hours were cut…
I work at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, but as I own 15 acres in Round Top , and spend a couple days every week nearby. Either hospital’s operating room would be deserving of your contest!!! ❤️👍🙏

I’m a pediatric clinic nurse that has a great team that would love to receive a happy box from you guys! We’re actually a multi specialty office with pediatric, primary and ob/gyn care for rural small town families that have worked full time during this crazy corona onslaught without a shutdown or a reduction of hours, just tons of changes and challenges on a daily! Love your stuff and sooo happy to be a Texan, always up for a road trip, your Open Roads t-shirt speaks volumes! (Going to get one soon for me & the bestie’s road trip to Palo Duro Canyon (end of June))

Washington County Health Department in Johnson City, TN. They have been working overtime to test anyone who wants to be tested. Since March, they have stood in the parking lot through snow, wind, rain, and 80 degree heat to test thousands of people in their community!
